Welcome to my professional platform for sharing experiences and discussions on the role architects play in helping communities grow stronger. I invite you to visit my project pages listed to the right to view examples of professional projects I’ve led.
A licensed architect with a diversified resume, I have well over 20 years of experience in the design world, including interiors, architecture, engineering, construction, estimating, IT, and GIS.
In 2006, I moved back to WI after spending 12 fabulous years practicing architecture in Key West, FL working on design projects ranging from small residential additions to large scale offices, hospitality (restaurants and hotels), multi-unit residential, and historic preservation.
Experiences working as a mate aboard a commercial sailing schooner in the Florida Keys and a volunteer assisting with disaster relief in Haiti have taught me to be flexible, yet persistent. Even in the most challenging of situations, it is good remember one’s humility and sense of humor.
In a previous position as the sustainability coordinator and project manager for the City of Monona, I gained a better understanding of the needs and constraints facing our local public entities and communities. My previous years working with a construction company established an understanding of costs related to varied site challenges and building methods.
Today, I work as a Project Manager for Barker Rinker Seacat Architecture in Denver, CO, where all my past experience comes together to help build stronger, more resilient communities.
BRS for short—we strive to design thoughtful, enlivening, functional places that enrich and enhance the lives of their users. Our goal is to make a positive and lasting impact on the communities we serve and to improve the quality of life for the people who belong to them.
